S.E.L.F. Gala Awards

The Annual Everest S.E.L.F. Awards Gala

On Monday, June 18, 2012 Everest Academy will recognize the positive impact skills and athletics play in the development of youth in the Greater Toronto Area at its second annual S.E.L.F. Awards Gala ceremony.

Everest S.E.L.F. Awards Gala recognizes youth and adult leaders alike who demonstrate outstanding achievement in Skills, Education, Leadership and Fitness (S.E.L.F.). Developed to celebrate and honour students and adult mentors, the S.E.L.F. awards acknowledge how the discipline and rigor of pursuing a skill at a high level builds lasting character and achievement throughout life.

At the Gala, youth and adult speakers share incredible stories that demonstrate how athletics impact their lives in an evening of inspiration, motivation and celebration. Eight awards are presented in four categories – Skill, Education, Leadership, and Fitness. Four awards are awarded to youth 18 and under, and four Awards are awarded to adults. Attendees will meet an exceptional group of people – both youth and adults – who excel in all areas of life because of their dedication to S.E.L.F. This year’s event also features our honoured guest Walter Gretzky, father and mentor to the great Wayne Gretzky.
