Invite to Elite Baseball Day
Thank you for considering our offer to explore the Everest Academy Baseball Program.
Our school program is specifically designed for student-athletes like yourself who are either looking to the NCAA for post-secondary scholarships or for top tier baseball programs in Canada. As part of our annual recruiting plan, we are looking to continue to add to our Varsity Program for the 2016/2017 school year where Everest student-athletes participate in daily skills training as part of the school schedule.
The Elite Baseball Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016.

Through discipline, dedication and purposeful practice tailored to individual needs, we instill in our students the necessary skills and positive attributes that will make them successful in baseball, in the classroom, and later in life.
The baseball program will allow students to participate in a rigorous academic program while training in a pro-style baseball development program. Students will be given the opportunity to enhance their baseball skills daily through skill development, practice, expert coaching and physical training.
Students in the baseball program will receive:
- Daily practice and focus on individual development
- Pitching mechanics and philosophy
- Speed training and fitness program
- College recruitment services
- SAT/ACT exam preparation in the school setting

Mr. Richard Russell
Richard Russell brings 21 years of Baseball experience and over nine years of coaching experience to Everest, and is currently the hitting and catching coach for the U18 Team Ontario program. Richard graduated from Marshall University with a BA in History and Education. While attending, Richard was a catcher for their NCAA D1 Baseball Program, and was also named captain in both his junior and senior seasons. Richard is a registered member of the Ontario College of Teachers and serves in the classroom teaching subjects such as Geography, History and World Studies.
Mr. Chris Begg
Chris joined Everest Academy after a fulfilling career as a professional baseball player. Along with playing in the San Francisco organization, Chris represented Canada in numerous international competitions including the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, 2006 and 2009 World Baseball Classic, and the 2005 and 2009 World Cup. Chris has also served as pitching coach for Canada’s Junior National Team, working with some of the country’s most promising talents. Chris demonstrates what athletics can learn about perseverance, dedication, and leadership. Chris is a registered member of the Ontario College of Teachers serving as a physical education and business studies teacher, as well as other credit-earning subject.
