Denzel wins Top Defensive Player of U-18 Baseball World Cup

The WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup took place in Thunder Bay, Ontario from September 1 to 10. Everest student Denzel Clarke and teacher/coach Chris Begg were there representing Canada. Canada finished fourth in the tournament.

Denzel had an outstanding tournament. He won Top Defensive Player for the tournament, and ended up leading Team Canada in OBP (on base %).

Denzel is in Grade 12 at Everest Academy. Both staff and students had the pleasure of watching and cheering Denzel on via live streams throughout the tournament. Congratulations Denzel!
