||Daniel Sisca – Hockey Director
As a former player, Daniel Sisca brings a wealth of hockey knowledge, skill, and experience to the Everest Academy Hockey program. Daniel spent his entire minor hockey career in the GTHL, followed by five years in the OHL, where he spent one year as the captain of the Mississauga Ice Dogs and one year as captain of the Sarnia Sting. His professional hockey career began in the ECHL and extended to the AHL and three years in Europe. During his time in the ECHL, Daniel was awarded to the ECHL All-Rookie Team. Daniel has worked with players of all age groups and various skill levels. He brings his firsthand hockey experience and genuine understanding of the game to help players improve their skills and perform at their highest level. Daniel is dedicated to ensuring that each player involved in the Everest hockey program leaves prepared to take the next step in their hockey career.
|Duncan Dalmao – Hockey Director
Duncan Dalmao enjoyed a lengthy playing career as a professional, 11 years in total, with time spent in North America in the ECHL and AHL, and moving on to 5 years in Europe. During his time in the ECHL he was awarded the ECHL Defenseman of the Year, as well as First Team All-Star. Since his retirement, Duncan has coached at the AAA level for five years and has trained players of distinct age, and skill levels, more specifically defenseman, his natural position. His goal is to prepare young athletes for success and to be an integral part of their development, during their time in the Everest Hockey Program.
|John Winstanley – Everest Athletic Director
Mr. Winstanley brings over 10 years of experience in private school education. During his tenure as Athletic Director, Mr. Winstanley has built and managed a student scheduling system that allows students to participate in multiple sports activities while still allowing them to focus on academics.
Mr. Winstanley also holds the position of Assistant General Manager at Everest Academy. Working with different teams across the organization, Mr. Winstanley prides himself on the many relationships he’s established and enjoys meeting new staff and students as the school continues to grow.
Married and father of two beautiful children, Mr. Winstanley is a family man with a passion for education and an upbeat sense of humour.
|Dave Dolecki – Goaltending
Dave Dolecki has played in the CIAU for Ryerson University, in the OJPHL for the Milton Merchants and the Oakville Blades, as well as in the OHL for the London Knights. Dave also played for 8 years in AAA for the Toronto Red Wings and North York Canadiens. In 1992, Dave started teaching goalies for several goalie schools. In the year 2000, he founded “The Crease Goaltending Academy.” The Crease trains over 150 goalies a week, and works with over 70 teams in the GTHL and OMHA. In the last three years, 11 goalies have been drafted to the OHL and 3 students have NCAA scholarships. Dave has also been a goalie coach for the Georgetown Raiders, the Milton Merchants, as well as Ryerson University. He is also a goalie instructor for Hockey Canada Level 3 coaches. Dave has been in charge of Everest’s Goalie Development program since its inception. During his extensive career as an instructor, Dave has worked with high profile goalies including Scott Wedgewood, who currently plays in the AHL, and Ray Emery of the Philadelphia Flyers.
|Bujar Amidovski – Goaltending
Bujar Amidovski has played 3 years in the OHL for the Kingston Frontenac’s and the St. Michaels Majors achieving the honours of Goaltender of the Year and Overager of the Year in 97/98. Bujar went on to sign NHL contracts with the Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers playing 7 years of professional hockey. Bujar has over 15 years of experience as a Goaltending Instructor and has been a Head Instructor at the Crease Goaltending Academy for the past 10 years. Bujar has trained several goalies that have been drafted to the OHL and have received NCAA scholarships. He is also a goalie instructor for Hockey Canada Level 3 coaches.
| Peter Sarno – Hockey Skills Coach
Peter joins Everest Academy after a lengthy and very successful hockey career. Peter was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers and has played in the NHL, AHL and in Europe. Peter is coaching in the GTHL and brings a great deal of experience to our staff.
|Brian McLaughlin – Hockey Skills Coach
Brian has played hockey at the Junior, College, and Professional levels as a defenseman. He has coached AAA teams in the GTHL for many years and has had the privilege of coaching NHL rookie of the year Jeff Skinner and Stanley Cup Champion Tyler Seguin. Brian has also worked with many top coaches, including Rick Vaive, Bill Bowler, and most recently with Greg Ireland of the OHL, Owen Sound Attack. Brian’s focus is defensive strategies and individual skill development for Everest student-athletes of all ages.
|George Nistas – Elite Skills Coach
George is a former OHL player (4 years) St. Michael’s Majors and Plymouth Whalers, following his time in the OHL he played 6 years pro (United States, Finland, Sweden) George has spent 8 years coaching at the AAA level in the GTHL. Over the past 20 years, of being involved in helping with hockey camps I have worked, learned and played alongside many top instructors, coaches, and players within the NHL. During this time, I have learned from all groups and skill levels the various demands required both on and off the ice. I have been fortunate that my passion and skills have enabled me to play at high levels. At this point in my career, I am now able and more than happy to give back to the future of hockey (your kids) – what I’ve learned”.
|Catherine Toste – Power Skating Specialist
I have spent most of my life on the ice. I started skating at age 2 and haven’t stopped since. I truly have a passion for skating and teaching skating. On the ice, I was a competitive figure skater and attained gold medal tests in free skating and dance. I enjoy hockey and working with hockey players to help them achieve their goals. I have trained hockey players at many levels from Timbits to OHL players. Off the ice, I hold a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and have held senior management positions at companies such as TD Canada Trust and Symantec. I am a former board member of the Mississauga Figure Skating Club. I am the mom to two teenage boys – one hockey player/BMX racer, one international level competitive figure skater.
|Matthew Sisca – Hockey Skills Coach
Mathew Sisca is a former professional hockey player and has been playing hockey for many years all over the world. His professional career has taken him from three years in North America in the ECHL and four years in Europe, which included Sweden, Austria and two years in the U.K. Mathew was awarded first all-star team in his first year in the ECHL and he also lead the league in points and was the leading goal scorer while playing for Manchester Storm in his first year in the U.K Elite league. Mathew grew up playing in the GTHL until he was drafted by the Mississauga Ice Dogs, he spent a long and prosperous four years in the OHL. Through his hard work and dedication, his passion for the game is something he wants to share with the young generation of hockey players. His many years of experience has molded him into the player and coach he is today. Mathew is eager to share his different techniques and skills that he has learned overseas, he strives in offensive abilities and connection between coaches and players. His goal is to get kids to be ready for the next step in their hockey careers, he will bring a lot of offensive abilities and teach kids how to reach their highest goals.
|Rob Ricci – Hockey Skills Coach
Rob joins Everest Academy after completing a six-year pro hockey career. The Brampton, Ontario native made his pro debut in 2009 where he went on to help capture an East Coast Hockey League Championship with the South Carolina Stingrays. Rob played two more full seasons with the Stingrays with a brief stint in the American Hockey League before moving overseas to play in Denmark, Sweden, and the UK. Prior to turning pro, Rob played NCAA Div 1 college hockey at Merrimack College where he earned team MVP honors in three of four seasons. Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our staff and will help students develop all aspects of their games. Rob is currently an assistant coach for the Georgetown Raiders Jr. A Hockey Club.
| Jim Thomson – Program Advisor and Ambassador
Jim Thomson was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Markham, Ontario at the age of 15 to pursue his dream of playing in the NHL. He played Junior A for the Markham Waxers, and in the OHL for the Toronto Marlboros before he was drafted in 1984 by the Washington Capitals. After 2 years in Washington, Jim went on to play for the Hartford Whalers, the New Jersey Devils, the Ottawa Senators, the L.A. Kings, and the Anaheim Ducks. Jim was has been the only player in NHL History to be selected in 3 consecutive expansion drafts. During his storied career, he played in the Stanley Cup Final with the LA Kings in 1993 alongside his idol Wayne Gretzky. For the past 25 years, Jim has coached and mentored players from all over the world, helping them to achieve their dream of playing in the NHL. In 2009, he began his campaign “Dreams Do Come True”, inspiring young people to reach their full potential.

We will also provide information on how Everest Academy can affordably assist along the way by focusing your resources and time, and also focusing your players athletic and academic output.
