Grade 6 student Ava McLean runs 14.7km race

Everest student Ava McLean ran the Glen Tay Block race this past week – a 14.7 km running road race (one of the oldest road races in Canada). Not only did Ava run this race at just 10 years old, she won a medal for being the first female runner under 20 years old to finish this year. Ava is in the hockey program and is just about to start her Grade 6 year.

The Everest family is very proud of such a big accomplishment and can not wait to see what else she can accomplish this school year.
