The Programs

Everest academy’s lacrosse program has been setup to develop youth into young adults. This development will be based around the athletes individual needs. Through persistent and dynamic coaching techniques, students will be motivated to succeed on and off the field. The program will contribute to the student’s leadership skills and ability to live an active healthy lifestyle. Positivity  and team building are two major pillars of this program. The Everest lacrosse program gives student-athletes the best platform to improve their individual skills and prepare them for NCAA or CIS opportunities.

Elementary (3-6) –  The Elementary program is based around fundamentals and the basic skills of lacrosse. Player’s focus will be directed to stick skills, understanding the basics of the game, and ultimately having fun. Everest is one of the only schools to introduce players to both field and box (indoor) lacrosse. The benefit of introducing both styles of lacrosse will help with a speedier development of the player’s individual skill.

Elementary – Travel Team (7-8) – Everest Lacrosse program for grades 7 and 8 is the beginning of competition. We will focus on developing the player’s skills, but also applying them to game situations. Each year the program will participate in at least 1 tournament and several exhibition games to give athletes the level of competition they’re seeking. Our athletes will be taught how to carry themselves on and off the field. Player’s will be expected to represent the school with the upmost class when participating in game play.

High School: Developmental Team (9-11) – This level of the high school program is designed to enhance each player’s individual skill set; during a season it is very difficult for club team coaches to focus solely on individual player’s skills. Each day will have a different focus which will include stick cradling skills, shooting skills, game situational drills and overall lacrosse sense teachings.  It will be our goal as coaches to greatly improve each player’s individual skills, strengthen their foundation and make them better lacrosse players.  Players will be given the opportunity to compete in at least 1-3 tournaments and several exhibition games. Any players that show premier skill sets or excelled learning at this level will be given the opportunity to compete with the Everest’s Elite Lacrosse program.

High School: Elite Team (12-PG) -  The Elite team program will create a competitive environment for all athletes, as players will be travelling to several tournaments across Canada and the United States. The team is already defending Champions of the 2nd Annual Wild Turkey Shoot held in Danville, Kentucky. With ongoing success of the program, players will be exposed to several NCAA coaches and scouts. The goal of the program is to assist with the promotion and decision making of the athletes for post-secondary schooling.

Other Advantages of Everest Lacrosse:

  • Players may be given an opportunity to practice at Brock University (CUFLA) and NCAA schools and coaches.  Players will be given a chance to learn box (indoor) lacrosse as well as field. At Everest, our goal is develop the ‘Hybrid’ style of player than can compete in the NCAA and NLL.
